The Official Register of Color Names Store — Terms and Conditions (STOC). Version 2.0 — Effective July 10, 2026.
Welcome to The Official Register of Color Names Store (ORCN Store) at store.color-register.org, your exclusive destination for naming and registering unique colors. As the commercial hub of The Official Register of Color Names, the Store lets you secure the perfect name for your chosen color and make it a permanent part of the Register.
store.color-register.org (ORCN Store) is the exclusive online storefront for The Official Register of Color Names (ORCN Register). Our store grants exclusive rights to name new colors and facilitates the registration of these names within The Official Register of Color Names. Every registrable color is one of the 16,777,216 colors of the 24-bit RGB model — the standard that defines the colors displayed on digital screens — and each Color Code can carry only one registered Color Name. Registration is intended as a personal, commemorative, creative, or entertainment service.
The ORCN Register is a private registry, independent of any governmental entities, international standards organizations or educational institutions. "Official" means the single authoritative record within this Register — it does not confer any governmental, legal, or trademark status. The service consists of recording your chosen Color Name as a permanent entry in the Register's database, publishing its Color Page, and issuing a digital Color Certificate as proof of registration. Registration does not create, transfer, or imply any legal rights to the color itself, including trademark, copyright, or design rights. By purchasing, you agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions (RTOC) of the ORCN Register — we strongly advise reading them before completing your purchase. Accessing the site may require payment of third-party fees (such as Internet service charges), and you are responsible for the equipment needed to access the site.
To buy a color-naming right, select your color, choose a Color Name that complies with the naming rules (RTOC section 3), add any Personal Message, and complete checkout. Submitting an order is an offer to purchase, which we accept when we confirm the order and process payment.
Naming rights are only finalized once the Color Name passes our naming rules and is registered. If a chosen name cannot be registered, we will contact you to choose an alternative or arrange a refund.
Buyers may cancel their order and request a refund within 90 days of the purchase date (the date the order is completed). Upon cancellation: the registration of the Color Name in The Official Register of Color Names is removed, the dedicated color page is deleted, and the issued Color Certificate is no longer valid.
The full refund process — how to submit a request, eligibility, and timelines — is described in the standalone Refund Policy. Requests are submitted via the contact form together with the order number. Approved refunds are issued within 14 days, to the original payment method, at no additional charge.
Refunds are also issued where an order is cancelled due to a pricing error or where a chosen Color Name cannot be registered (see section 3).
store.color-register.org grants you a limited license to access and make personal use of the Site and the Service. This license does not include:
You may not bypass any measures used by store.color-register.org to prevent or restrict access to the Site. Any unauthorized use immediately terminates the permission or license granted to you.
The Services are available only to individuals aged 18 or over who are able to form a legally binding contract, and to legal entities acting through authorized representatives. store.color-register.org may refuse to provide the Service to anyone who has previously engaged in fraud, abuse, or violations of this STOC. If you do not qualify, you may not use the store.color-register.org Service or the Site.
The Store does not use customer accounts and does not require you to create a password. Your purchase is identified by your order information: the order number and the email address provided at checkout.
We use this email address to confirm your order, deliver the Color Certificate, and verify any requests concerning your purchase — such as refund requests, corrections, or changes to a Personal Message. Instructions received from that email address are treated as authorized by the purchaser. After registration, the same email address identifies you as the registrant of the entry under the Register's terms (RTOC section 6).
You agree to provide true, accurate, and complete information at checkout. If your email address changes, contact us from the original address or provide proof of purchase (such as the order number and payment details) so we can update the record. We may decline requests we cannot reasonably verify.
store.color-register.org reserves the right to refuse service and to remove or edit content in accordance with this STOC.
By submitting any unsolicited information and materials — including comments, ideas, questions, designs, and other similar communications (collectively, "Unsolicited Information") — to store.color-register.org through the Site, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you should not provide any Unsolicited Information through the Site.
All Unsolicited Information will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. store.color-register.org and its affiliates may use such communication or material for any purpose whatsoever, including reproduction, disclosure, transmission, publication, broadcast, and further posting. We are free to use any ideas, concepts, know-how, or techniques contained in it for any purpose, including developing, manufacturing, and marketing products.
By submitting any Unsolicited Information, you grant store.color-register.org a perpetual, royalty-free, and irrevocable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, create derivative works from, transfer, and sell such Unsolicited Information, and to use your name and other identifying information in connection with it.
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT THE SITE, SERVICES, CONTENT, AND ALL PRODUCTS PURCHASED VIA THE SITE ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. NONE OF THE STORE.COLOR-REGISTER.ORG OWNER AND AFFILIATE PARTIES GUARANTEES THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, RELIABILITY, SUITABILITY, OR USEFULNESS OF ANY PORTION OF THE SITE, SERVICES, CONTENT, OR PRODUCTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE SITE, ITS SERVER, OR ANY FILES ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL ELEMENTS.
YOU EXPRESSLY AGREE THAT THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE SITE, SERVICES, CONTENT, AND ALL PRODUCTS PURCHASED IS ASSUMED SOLELY BY YOU. WE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM ALL REPRESENTATIONS, ENDORSEMENTS, GUARANTEES, AND WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR DISSATISFACTION IS TO STOP USING THE SITE AND SERVICES.
store.color-register.org attempts to be as accurate as possible with product descriptions and prices. However, we do not warrant that descriptions or prices are accurate. If a product is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to a typographical error, store.color-register.org has the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for that product — whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit or debit card has been charged. Refunds will be made in the case of any cancellation due to store.color-register.org's error.
YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT STORE.COLOR-REGISTER.ORG AND ITS SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, PARTNERS, AND LICENSORS (EACH, A "COVERED PARTY") SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES — INCLUDING DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES (EVEN IF A COVERED PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES) — RESULTING FROM USE OF THE SITE, CONTENT, SERVICES, OR PRODUCTS PURCHASED VIA THE SITE. ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE ABOVE SHALL BE LIMITED TO A REFUND OF THE USER'S PURCHASE, IF ANY, ON THE SITE.
Indemnity. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold the Covered Parties harmless from any claim or demand — including reasonable attorneys' fees — arising out of or related to your breach of this STOC, your use of the Site or Services, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
Consumer rights. Nothing in this STOC (including Sections 9–10) excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
The trademarks, logos, and service marks ("Marks") displayed on the Site are the property of store.color-register.org and other parties. Users are prohibited from using any Marks for any purpose — including as metatags on other pages or sites — without the written permission of store.color-register.org or the third party that owns the Marks.
All information and content available on or through the Site, including any software programs ("Content"), is protected by copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, patents, or other proprietary rights and is the property of store.color-register.org. You agree to comply with all intellectual property laws and shall not encumber any interest in, or assert any rights to, the Content. You are prohibited from modifying, copying, distributing, transmitting, displaying, publishing, selling, licensing, creating derivative works, or using any Content for commercial or public purposes.
store.color-register.org reserves the right to make changes to the Site, related policies and agreements, this STOC, and the Privacy Policy at any time. If store.color-register.org makes a material modification to this STOC or the Privacy Policy, it will notify you by displaying a prominent announcement above the text of this STOC or the Privacy Policy, as appropriate, for thirty (30) days. You agree that such notification is sufficient notice of the changes.
If any of these conditions are deemed invalid, void, or unenforceable, the parties agree that the court should give effect to the parties' intentions as reflected in the provision, and the unenforceable condition shall be severable and shall not affect the validity of any remaining condition. From time to time store.color-register.org may offer special promotional offers, which may carry additional terms you agree to be bound by. Headings are for reference only. store.color-register.org's failure to act on a breach does not waive its right to act on later or similar breaches. Except as expressly provided, there are no third-party beneficiaries to this STOC. This STOC, together with the Privacy Policy and any document linked from it, constitutes the entire agreement between you and store.color-register.org, superseding any prior agreements.
When you use the Site or send emails to store.color-register.org, you are communicating electronically and consent to receive communications from us electronically. We will communicate with you by email or by posting notices on the Site. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide electronically satisfy any legal requirement that they be in writing.
The Site or third parties may provide links to other websites or resources. Because store.color-register.org has no control over them, we are not responsible for their availability, content, advertising, or products, and shall not be liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused by reliance on them.
Access to secure areas of the Site is restricted to authorized users only. Unauthorized individuals attempting to access these areas may be subject to prosecution.
store.color-register.org respects the intellectual property of others and may, at its discretion, refuse further service to users who infringe. If you believe your work has been copied in a way that constitutes infringement, provide our Copyright Agent with: an electronic or physical signature of the authorized person; a description of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; a description of where the infringing material is located on the Site; your address, telephone number, and email; a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Notwithstanding any other provisions of this STOC, or any general legal principles to the contrary, any provision that imposes or contemplates continuing obligations will survive the expiration or termination of this STOC.
